Luke 8:29-31

²⁹ For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. (For it had seized him many times, and he was bound with chains and shackles and^[a] was guarded, and breaking the bonds he would be driven by the demon into the deserted places.) ³⁰ So Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many demons had entered into him. ³¹ And they began imploring^[b] him that he would not order them to depart into the abyss.
